MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WNCN) – A man wanted for killing his wife in Wake Forest has been captured in Mississippi, according to the NBC affiliate in Memphis.
Lanson Paul Stalf is accused of robbing a bank Friday morning near Memphis, according to Wake Forest spokeman Bill Crabtree.
The Community Bank in Hernando, Mississippi, was robbed Friday morning, WMC-TV reported.
Stalf is accused of killing his 34-year-old wife Stephanie Lynn Autry in their home Tuesday night.
He was captured without incident Friday at a hotel in Batesville, Mississippi.
District attorneys with jurisdiction in the case will handle Stalf’s extradition.
Stalf will be charged with murder once back in Raleigh.
