The parade will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a fireworks show at the Court of North Carolina on the school’s campus. WNCN’s Mike Gonzalez is the emcee of the parade.

This homecoming week leads up to the N.C. State football team’s game against rivals Clemson on Saturday. The rivalry has come to be known as the Textile Bowl.

Hillsborough Street will be closed in both directions from Dan Allen Drive to Pullen Road from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. for the parade.

The parade grand marshal will be Barry Leonard (class of 1975), president of the North Carolina Textile Foundation.
