SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) – The Silver Alert for a missing elderly couple from Rowan County has been canceled.

Officials say they were both located and found safe in Cary.

Rowan 911 said Jimmie Coleman, 76, and Pearlene Coleman, 77, had been missing since Friday morning. Their Silver Alerts were canceled Sunday morning.

Both suffer from severe cognitive impairment from Alzheimer’s and dementia to the level that they no longer know their family on a daily basis, officials said.

A statewide notification was sent out to all law enforcement agencies, with extra calls made to Cumberland County and Tabor City. According to officials, they had recently talked about going to Tabor City to visit their parents’ graves.

Since the initial statewide broadcast, Raleigh officials said they were seen Saturday. Around 1:30 p.m. Jimmie reportedly walked into a hair salon acting confused. By the time officer’s arrived, he was gone.
