Thief kicks in woman’s door and steals her purse, Fayetteville Police say

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WNCN) — A man stole a woman’s purse after kicking in a door to her home last month, Fayetteville Police say.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department say the break-in happened at a home in the 1200 block of Longleaf Drive on October 1 at approximately 9:50 p.m.

During the break-in, the suspect kicked in the back door of the home while the woman was at home.

“The suspect took a purse and fled the area on foot,” Fayetteville Police said in a press release.

Detectives say the suspect is Robert Christopher Elliott, age 48, with a last known address in the 460 block of McRae Drive.

Elliott is described as being 6’00” tall, 230 pounds, with white hair and grey eyes.

Elliott has access to and may be operating a silver 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab truck with NC license plate CHA-5496.

Detectives have obtained warrants for the arrest of Elliott on charges of First Degree Burglary, Larceny, and Possession of Stolen Goods.  Elliott also has an outstanding warrant for violating a Domestic Violence Protection Order.

Fayetteville Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Elliott.  If you see Elliott please call 911.
