Woman rushed to UNC Hospital after being hit by car in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WNCN) — A woman was hit by a vehicle in Fayetteville on Monday night, police say.

At 8:15 p.m. a pedestrian was hit by a car on Murchison Road near Enoch Street, according to Fayetteville Police.

The pedestrian, a 34-year-old woman of the 2300 block of Lake Avenue, was transported to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill in stable condition, police said.

The driver of a 2012 Ford passenger car that hit the woman is a 28-year-old woman who lives in the 6300 block of Raeford Road, police said in a press release.

The vehicle driver was not injured.

The incident is still under investigation and as of late Monday night no charges were filed.
