RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – An Archer’s Lodge volunteer fireman will undergo numerous surgeries for injuries sustained in an accident while he was driving home from a fire call.
A GoFundMe page for Chris McLeod says he hit a deer and lost control of his truck Nov. 18. He was trapped in his truck for 10 minutes while he was extracted.
He was transported to WakeMed before being taken to UNC Hospital.
He sustained fractures to neck vertebrae and facial bones.
The GoFundMe page says McLeod will require facial reconstruction along with other surgeries.
