HAMILTON, Ga. – A new sign outside of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is causing quite a stir.
Sheriff Mike Jolley is seen standing by the new sign that reads:
WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America, and in God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you… LEAVE!
Jolley paid for the sign himself, according to WRBL.
The Columbus, Georgia, Ledger-Enquirer said Jolley posted the sign Tuesday morning. The newspaper reported that the sign cost him $553.
“It’s time for the silent majority to stand up for our beliefs and not be ashamed,” he told the newspaper
Jolley said there are 75 people in his department, and those who are not Christian are more than welcome to worship whatever God they choose fit.”
“For me and mine, we worship Jesus Christ.”
