NC teen’s death ‘suspected to be gang-related,’ sheriff’s office says

DUDLEY, N.C. (WNCN) – A 15-year-old Dudley boy was killed Monday night in what the the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said is suspected to be a gang related death.

Emergency responders were called to 300 Rollingwood Drive around 9:15 p.m. in reference to a person being injured.

EMS crews found Deyelle Morrisey dead from what appeared to be a gunshot wound and contacted the sheriff’s office, authorities said.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The sheriff’s office said Morrisey’s death is suspected to be gang related.
