RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A 64-year-old Wake County woman faces a misdemeanor animal cruelty charges following a Nov. 19 incident at her home.
Animal Control seized six or seven animals from the Willow Spring home of Alma Dale Kilgore.
Neighbors on Eddie Howard Road said a hazmat team was at the residence earlier Thursday due to high levels of ammonia in the home.
The animals seized included dogs, cats and bird.
She faces three counts of animal cruelty involving cats. The fourth charge involves a green parrot, according to Wake County documents.
Rhodes, 64, was charged Nov. 23. She was given a court date of Dec. 8.
