FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A Fayetteville man was arrested Thursday morning on charges relating to a church arson that occurred in September.
Warrants were obtained Wednesday for Jack Randall Singleton, 33, in reference to the Sept. 23 fire at C.D. McNeill Memorial Church of God, located at 1705 Sapona Road.
Singleton was located and arrested at approximately 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Singleton was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a charge of burning of a church or place of worship.
Singleton also had an order of arrest pending indictment for second-degree arson, from Robeson County, and an outstanding misdemeanor larceny warrant.
Bond for Singleton was set at $5,000 unsecured for the burning of a church or place of worship, $10,000 for the second-degree arson charge from Robeson County, and $1,000 unsecured bond for the misdemeanor larceny charge.
Singleton’s first appearance hearing is scheduled Nov. 30 regarding the charge of burning of a church or place of worship.
