RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Long lines were seen at several stores in the Triangle on Thanksgiving Day as many shoppers wanted to get deals a day before the traditional shopping season began.
By 5 p.m. hundreds of people were wrapped around the building at Belk at Triangle Town Center.
A woman showed up at 2:30 p.m. and was the first in line, which she said was an annual tradition for her family.
She wants to get the 55 inch TV for $249 at Target, an IPad and toys for her daughter.
“We feel awesome!!!” the woman said.
The weather was perfect for people standing outside stores with clear skies and temperatures near 60.
