Fayetteville PD to hold forums on use of body cameras

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) – The Fayetteville Police Department will host three community forums during the month of December to discuss the use of body worn cameras by police officers.

Each forum will be held in one of the three patrol districts in Fayetteville. Members of the police department will be on hand to explain the department’s policy and procedure surrounding the use of the cameras and to seek input from the public, hear concerns and answer questions on the use of the cameras.

The first meeting will be held Dec. 1 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Manna Church located at 5117 Cliffdale Road. The meeting will be held in the Chapel in Building A on the second floor.

The second meeting will be held on Dec. 8 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Reilly Road Presbyterian Church located at 208 S. Reilly Road.

The third meeting will be held on Dec. 15 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at St. Luke AME Church located at 522 Hillsboro St.
