Teen suspect, victim ID’d in Wilson murder

WILSON, N.C. (WNCN) – Officials have released the identity of both the teenage suspect and the victim in a murder that happened Saturday night in Wilson.

Wilson 911 received a call of an unresponsive female, now identified as Donna Lynne Davis, 55, lying in the intersection of Vance Street and Maplewood Avenue. Emergency crews arrived on scene and determined the woman was not breathing.

EMS personnel tried to revive the woman but were unable to.

Wilson Police arrested Albert Henry Jones, III, 16, in the case. He has been charged with an open count of murder and has been placed in the Wilson County jail under no bond.

An initial investigation has revealed that a physical altercation occurred between Davis and Jones.
