GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A Goldsboro man is wanted for shooting another man after their “long running dispute” turned violent on Saturday morning, police said.
The shooting happened at approximately 11 a.m. in the area of 910 N. Spence Avenue, Goldsboro Police said.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, sustained a single gunshot wound and was transported by EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
“The shooting occurred during an argument between the victim and a male acquaintance, who have had a long running dispute,” police said in a press release.
An arrest warrant was issued for a suspect in the shooting.
Linwood Isaiah Grantham, age 24, whose last known address is 136 Park Ridge Lane in Goldsboro, is wanted by police for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, officials said.
The victim, Alexander Rickey Shaw, age 22, remains hospitalized and is undergoing surgery, police said Saturday evening.
