WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — A Wake County home was gutted by fire on Saturday afternoon.
The blaze broke out at a home in the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Wake Forest, officials said.
Fire crews responded just before 3:30 p.m. and managed to extinguish the fire, but not before the blaze caused serious damage to the home.
The home, a single-wide trailer, was heavily damaged by fire in what appeared to be the entrance and living room area.
Parts of the walls were completely burned through and a view inside showed significant charring of the inside walls.
There was no immediate word of injuries.
