CARY, N.C. (WNCN) – Cary police said a suspect wearing a black jacket, a furry hat and sunglasses robbed a Wells Fargo on Harrison Avenue Tuesday morning.
Police responded to a robbery in progress call around 11:45 a.m. at the Wells Fargo at 1701 Harrison Ave.
The suspect never showed a weapon but implied he had one, police said.
“A white male wearing a brown fur trapper hat and sunglasses entered the bank. With a black cloth around his face, he demanded money from the teller,” Cary Police said in a press release.
In addition to the fur trapper hat – also called a Russian ushanka — the suspect is described as approximately 5’10” to 6’1” and was wearing a black jacket.
The suspect left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured in the incident.
