Heavy rain has caused rivers to flood parts of Western North Carolina. Water is receding and roads are starting to reopen.
In Buncombe county, Emergency dispatch reports several drivers had to be rescued from cars overnight. The Red Cross is assisting people who lived in a mobile home park off Charlotte Highway in the Reynolds area. About 20 trailers had to be evacuated. Several vehicles are ruined and parts of the road are washed away. Neighbors tell 7 News reporter Mike Manzoni that many residents lost everything.

-Cemetery Road at the train trestle
-Main Street in Rosman (a few evacuations)
-Highway 178 reopened at Rosman Elementary and East Fork
-Green Road closed at the bridge
-Island Ford closed at the river access
-West main street at Rosenwald Ln Tree down
-Some roads closed
-Rivers seem to be receding and roads are starting to clear
-EMS out right now assessing situation
