NC woman charged with murder after assisted living roommate killed in stabbing

LOUISBURG, N.C. (WNCN) — A Franklin County woman was charged after deputies say she killed her 88-year-old assisted living roommate early Tuesday morning.

The incident happened around 2:53 a.m. when the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was sent to a reported stabbing.

Authorities arrived at the facility called The Jordan at 90 E.F. Cottrell Road in Louisburg and found a woman was dead.

Elouise Collier, 88, was “fatally stabbed by her roommate,” Franklin County Sheriff’s officials said in a press release.

Patricia Marrow, 57, of Louisburg was charged with first-degree murder, officials said.

Marrow is being held at North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh without bond.
