DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Durham Police are looking for a 16-year-old boy they say gunned down a man last month.
Police were called to the 1200 block of Scout Drive at 1:12 a.m. November 16 for a call of shots fired. A neighbor told WNCN they heard what sounded like a dozen shots.
Images from the shooting scene showed at least 12 yellow evidence markers on the street — typically used by police to signify the location of shell casings from gunshots.
Upon arrival, they found a man dead in the street. Police identified the victim as Paul Jones, 53, of Durham. Police believe a white pickup truck may have been seen leaving the scene.
Neighbors also said there have been several shootings in this particular area, although none of them have been fatal until Nov. 16.
Corinthian Eddie Bowens, age 16, is wanted in connection with the murder of Paul Jones, police said Wednesday.
Bowens of Durham is wanted for one count of murder, police say.
