COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS-TV) — Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies say a couple’s argument over a chicken dinner led to a stabbing Tuesday night.
Deputies were called to a report of a domestic fight with a weapon at a home on Ranch Road at about 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Arriving deputies found a man lying on the ground in front of the house with stab wounds.
Investigators determined the couple got into an argument over whether to get Church’s Chicken when it turned physical.
Deputies say the husband knocked out the wife with a punch. When the woman came to, officers say she grabbed a knife and stabbed her husband multiple times in the upper body.
Both were taken to the hospital. The husband’s stab wounds are not considered life-threatening.
Deputies continue to investigate.
