DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A car crashed into three power poles Wednesday morning, resulting in downed power lines, Durham Police said.
Durham Police said a vehicle hit three power poles at Old Oxford and Hamlin roads Wednesday morning. The downed power lines were reported in the area of Old Oxford Road between Thompson and Hebron roads.
The incident resulted in two other vehicles being damaged.
Durham Public Schools tweeted out Wednesday morning that some school buses may be delayed due to the traffic crash.
DPS tweeted that buses in the northern division could be impacted.
Police said the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police tell WNCN that the roadway is expected to remain closed for several hours.
