UNION COUNTY, N.C. – A man and woman wanted for targeting churches in a serial burglary spree have been arrested, WCNC in Charlotte reported.
WCNC reported that five churches were targeted and that the thieves would pry open the front doors to gain entry.
David Simpson, 65, and Ashley Flowers, 29, are facing felony charges in connection with the burglaries. The stolen items were located by detectives in several Charlotte-area pawn shops, WCNC reported.
Simpson has a criminal history dating back more than 40 years, WCNC reported.
