Public helps Chatham authorities find 2 suspects in break-ins

PITTSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office said it has identified two of four suspects wanted in recent break-ins.

One suspect was caught on surveillance video at a break-in in New Hill. Authorities say the suspect may be a resident of New Hill or Moncure.

A second suspect is wanted in connection with a break-in and larceny on Piney Grove Church Road in Siler City. He was also caught on surveillance video, which showed him with a shotgun or rifle, the sheriff’s office said.

Two more suspects are wanted in connection with cutting the locks off a gate to gain entry to a resident’s property in Sanford. The two suspects in this case may still be in Chatham County.

Anyone with information regarding any of the suspects is asked to call the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office at 919-542-2911.
