KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (WBTV) – What has been described as “Satanic graffiti” has been found on two area churches, according to the Rowan Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, graffiti was found at The Living Word Spirited Baptist Church, 2106 West C Street in Kannapolis.

A deacon of the church reported that vandalism had occurred at the church sometime between 11:30pm on 1-16-16, and 07:30am on 01-17-16. The vandalism was found when the deacon stopped by to turn up the heat for the upcoming Sunday services at the church.

The left side of the church had been spray painted with pictures and words on the lower half of the building. The markings were in a variety of colors, and included words such as “Jeezus”, “Satan loves you,” and also had pictures of upside down crosses.

The cost of the damage was not available at the time of the report.
