NC man arrested for making threats against elementary school teacher

ABERDEEN, N.C. (WNCN) – A 34-year-old Moore County man faces several charges after authorities said he posted a video to social media that included threats against an elementary school teacher.

Domonick Travell Weaver, of Ample Pines Drive in Aberdeen, was arrested at his home following a multi-agency investigation.

Moore County Schools Police Chief Sammy McNeill learned of the threats Tuesday and notified other law enforcement agencies in the county.

Weaver was charged with communicating threats, assault on a government officer and resisting an officer.

Moore County Sheriff Neil Godfrey said the threat was made against a teacher at the Pinehurst Elementary School.

Weaver was taken to the Moore County Detention Center in Carthage where he was given a $50,000 secure bond.

His first scheduled court date is Feb. 9.
