WEDDINGTON, N.C. (WBTV) – An aerial Bud Light banner fell on a resident’s Union County home Sunday after it was disconnected from a helicopter.

Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration said it is investigating the incident.

FAA officials say the pilot of a Robinson R44 helicopter disconnected the banner after the aircraft had a mechanical problem. The banner was released and fell on a house on Brogadoon Lane in Weddington.

The FAA has not released further details in the investigation.

The owner of the home told WBTV that a tree removal service was on standby to remove the banner from the home, after the FAA completes its investigation.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
