DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – It’s a boy!

In the middle of Saturday’s snow storm in North Carolina, a new lemur was born at the Duke Lemur Center.

The center tweeted out the joyful news Sunday on Twitter.

The lemur’s grandfather, Zoboomafoo, was once the star of a PBS wildlife show.

There’s no word on the little lemur’s name.

According to a Facebook post from the center, a vet tech walked 2 miles in the snow to check on the newborn and staff remained onsite all weekend to take care of the new arrival.
