FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with the Nov. 23 sexual assault of a woman on the Fayetteville State University campus, police said.
Fayetteville police, along with Fayetteville State University Police, investigated the sexual assault of a 22-year-old in her dorm room on campus in November 2015.
Jonathan O’Bryon Jones surrendered to authorities Monday in Pitt County, police said.
Jones, of the 4900 block of Old Tar Road in Winterville, is charged with three counts second-degree sex offense and four counts sexual battery.
Authorities said Jones and the victim were acquaintances.
Jones was processed in Pitt County and his bond was set at $250,000 secured.
