WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) – Crews returned to the 700 block of Durham Road Wednesday morning to repair a water main break in Wake Forest.
Town officials said the 12-inch break occurred in the new section of pipe that was installed Tuesday.
Early Tuesday morning, a Wake Forest police officer spotted a water main break in the 700 block of Durham Road. Crews repaired the break Tuesday before it ruptured again Wednesday.
Officials said Durham Road from Capital Boulevard/US 1 to Tyler Run Drive was down to one lane as crews work to fix the new break.
The new repairs were completed by 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and water service was restored to residents.
