WHITE LAKE, NC (WECT) — A Clinton man was arrested Sunday morning for making methamphetamine in his parents’ vacation home in White Lake, officials said.
David Lee Johnson, 34, of Clinton was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, manufacturing methamphetamine and five counts of possession of meth precursors.
Johnson, who received a $220,500 bond, could face additional charges once test results are confirmed at the North Carolina State Crime Lab.
A joint investigation between the White Lake Police Department and the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office uncovered the alleged meth manufacturing operation at the home on Godwin Road in White Lake around midnight Saturday.
The N.C. SBI sent a clandestine laboratory response team to process the scene.
