DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A thief in Durham tried to use a stolen credit card to buy chicken, but was rejected so he grabbed cash from the register instead, Durham Police say.
The incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 at Kentucky Fried Chicken at 806 Fayetteville Street.
A man entered the business and tried to purchase food using a stolen credit card.
“He then grabbed a small amount of cash from a register and ran out of the store,” Durham Police said in a press release.
Durham Police described the suspect as a black male with a dark complexion and dreadlocks that were tied up. He was wearing a blue puffy jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
