DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Durham County Sheriff’s deputies caught three suspects mid-robbery on Lakeside Drive Feb. 2, the sheriff’s office said.
Someone reported a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Lakeside Drive. Responding deputies found three suspects in the middle of a breaking and entering at a home.
The three suspects ran from the scene.
Deputies set up a perimeter allowing for other responding units to help in the capture of the suspects.
One suspect, a 15-year-old boy, is a repeat offender and known to area law enforcement.
While responding, deputies recovered a stolen vehicle reported to the Durham Police Department.
Also, deputies returned stolen property belonging to the deceased mother and husband of the Lakeside Drive homeowner, the sheriff’s office said.
Gregory Norwood Jr., 16, and Joshua Montori Clark-Taylor, 19, were charged with with breaking and entering, injury to personal property, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting a public officer.
Both are in the the Durham County Detention Facility under $10,000 bonds.
