Tiara Little is a junior at NCCU and was shot in her lower back while a passenger in a car with three other people.

The incident happened at Lawson and S. Roxboro streets — just one block from campus — while Little was headed to the University from where she works.

“I’m currently recovering and doing great,” said Little, age 20, who is originally from Texas.

Just after the shooting she was rushed to the Student Union where rescuers treated her and she was later hospitalized.

No one has been charged in the shooting.
