FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Authorities in Fayetteville say a man had sex and took indecent liberties with a 15-year-old girl earlier this week.
The 26-year-old man is being held on $1.6 million bond after the incident involving a teen girl took place on Monday in the 1100 block of Southwood Drive, Fayetteville Police said.
Police say that the man also “inflicted serious bodily injury” during an assault on the girl, who was an acquaintance.
Cleo Chalwell of the 540 block of Jennings Farm Road, was charged on Wednesday with three counts of first degree statutory rape, three counts of indecent liberties with a minor, and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.
Chalwell was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center where he remains on a $1,600,000 secure bond.
