RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – State NAACP leaders announced Thursday that they plan  to hold a massive “Moral March on Raleigh” next week.

The Rev. William Barber said the Feb. 13 rally will focus on efforts to get out the vote ahead of the state’s presidential primary on March 15.

Barber said speakers at the event will be everyday North Carolinians who have been affected by voter identification laws and the governor’s decision not to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.

“We are fighting in the legislative hall, we are fighting in the courtroom, but we are also determined to fight and organize in the street,” Barber said.
