RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — There was a call for justice Saturday morning in downtown Raleigh for a New York Police Officer convicted of second degree manslaughter.
The Chinese-American Friendship Association held a rally In downtown Raleigh in support of Officer Peter Liang.
A jury convicted him in the 2014 death of an unarmed man at a Brooklyn housing project.
Supporters say the prosecution’s case was marred by flaws and inconsistencies.
Similar rallies took place in 40 cities around the country.
