Greenville Police investigate fatal shooting

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) –  Police in Greenville are investigating a Saturday morning fatal shooting.

Police responded to a shots fired call at the dead end of Westover Drive just after 1:00 a.m.

They found Fuquan Clark, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Clark was transported to Vidant Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

“Anytime a life is senselessly lost in our city, it deeply affects not only the family, but our neighborhoods and community as well, and obviously is a top priority for the Greenville Police Department,” said Chief Mark Holtzman.

Chief Holtzman said GPD will continue to fully investigate this case with all available resources to bring closure to Mr. Clark’s family and the community.

Crews on scene talked to a family member who said they are hopeful police find who is responsible.
