PAGELAND, SC (WBTV) – A CVS Pharmacy in Pageland was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon. Police say the man got away with 369 oxycodone pills.
The robbery happened at the CVS on North Van Lingle Mungo Boulevard.
The pharmacy manager told police that a man demanded that she open the safe and give him the oxycodone inside. Then the man walked to the back part of the pharmacy and pointed a gun at her as she walked toward the safe. She told officers that she got on her knees to open the safe. She gave him five bottles of the drug.
During the robbery, he also pointed his gun at another employee and made her walk toward him. Neither of the store employees knew where the suspect went after he left the store.
Pageland police say they looked around the area for signs of footprints or other evidence, but they didn’t find anything.
The man is described as being about 6′ tall and between 170 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue ski mask, brown hoodie with a red shirt underneath, tan pants, gloves and tennis shoes.
