NC gunman and accomplice nabbed in convenience store robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WNCN) – Two people have been arrested after a robbery at a Kangaroo convenience store early Monday morning in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville police officers responded to a report of a male entering the store at 4:47 a.m., pointing a pistol at the store employee and demanding money. The employee gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money and the man left in an awaiting vehicle. Minutes later officers observed the described vehicle, conducted a vehicle stop and arrested the two occupants.

Justin Tyler Walker, 21, of Fayetteville has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a stolen firearm and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Anjelica Berlana Hunt, 23, of Wade was also charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The two are currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center – him under a $100,000 secured bond and her under a $50,000 secured bond.
