GASTONIA, N.C. (WBTV) – A Gaston County woman is accused of killing her husband Monday night in a triple homicide.
Crystal Leah Gambino, 42, is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of her husband, 40-year-old Giovanni James Gambino.
Gaston County Police were called to do a welfare check at Giovanni Gambino’s home on Alexis-Lucia Road in Alexis around 8 p.m. A concerned family member who initiated the welfare check met police at the home.
Police say they found Giovanni Gambino and two other adults, believed to be visitors, shot to death at the home.
Crystal Gambino was arrested a short time later in Stanley and charged. She is currently being held in the Gaston County Jail without bond.
More charges are expected after the other victims are identified.
Gambino is expected to appear in court at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
