RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – One man was shot in Raleigh late Friday night not far from where Akiel Denkins died in a police shooting Monday, officials said.
The shooting occurred just before midnight on Bragg Street near Garner Road, police said.
Timothy Shawn Robertson, age 41, was shot while on foot and sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his legs, police said Saturday.
Robertson was transported to WakeMed by private vehicle.
Neighbors told North Carolina News that there was a party going on for Akiel Denkins at the time of the shooting.
Police said they’re tracking a possible witness or suspect and that a car was seen in the area, but wouldn’t say where.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made
