$1 million bond for 2nd woman charged with selling narcotics on Seymour Johnson AFB

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – A second woman has been charged with selling and distributing narcotics to civilians and active duty airmen on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has said.

Morgan Michelle Moots, 27, of Bellarthur, has been charged with trafficking in opiates by possession, transportation, sell, and delivery; sell/deliver cocaine; sell/deliver Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin; possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine; and felony maintaining a motor vehicle.

During a continuing investigation on the air base, investigators discovered that Moots was facilitating transactions of narcotics on base.

Roberta Ann McClure, 29, was arrested and charged in late February after being accused of selling narcotics to airmen at Seymour Johnson while making food deliveries on base.

McClure was charged with trafficking in opiates by possession, transportation, sell, and delivery; possession with intent to deliver Schedule II controlled substance; sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; and conspiracy to sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

Moots has been placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $1 million secured bond.
