LINCOLNTON, N.C. (WBTV) – Lincolnton police say a validated gang member was arrested after a woman says he pulled her out of her car and drove away with it.
Police say they were called to Cobb Street in Lincolnton to investigated a robbery. When they got there, a woman reportedly told them that Johnny Wray Izard, Jr. pulled her hair and physically removed her from her vehicle and drove off.
Not long after, police say they found the vehicle and Izard. He ran away. Officers found him the next day.
On Monday, Izard was charged with common law robbery and assault on a female. He was being held in the Lincoln County jail under a $5,000 bond.
Izard has previously been convicted of breaking and entering charges and multiple drug related charges. He currently has other assault charges pending in Lincoln County.
