Last week, Tony Hearne and Linsey Lentz were caught by deputies trying to dispose of a body in the woods near an abandoned home. There, Hearne admitted to WBTV that he killed his uncle and says it was self defense.

Police searched a home on T.E. White Sr. Drive where Tony Hearne, Linsey Lentz and Robert Hearne reportedly lived.

After an investigation, police say they found evidence in the Albemarle house that suggests Hearne’s uncle, Robert Adam Hearne Jr., was killed there, then moved to Alexander County.

Hearne and Lentz have been charged with first-degree murder and concealment or failure to report a death. The two were moved from the Alexander County jail to the Stanly County jail on Tuesday. They were not granted bond.

Their next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday March 16.
