Smiling robber hits Friendly Center bank in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a bank at Friendly Center Friday.

The incident was reported just before 1 p.m. at PNC Bank at 615 Green Valley Road near the Wendover Avenue interchange.

Greensboro police said the man passed a note to a teller demanding money. No weapon was shown during the incident, police said.

The man received an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a light-colored sedan, police said.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect. Officers in marked and unmarked cars also searched the area for the suspect.
