ENFIELD, N.C. – An anonymous tip to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office led drug task force agents to the residence of an Enfield man growing marijuana.

Acting on a tip to their website, agents went to a residence on Silvertown Road Saturday at 10:23 a.m. where they saw the marijuana operation. They arrested Troy Anthony Silver, 40, and charged him with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.

Agents seized a four-foot-tall marijuana plant that had been growing for approximately three months.  Also seized were items of paraphernalia which included an oxygen system, two growing lights, power inverter, thermometer, timers, extension cord and a bottle of root hormone.
