Man shot in chest at Raleigh gas station, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was shot at a gas station in the Brier Creek area of Raleigh on Sunday evening, police said.

A 57-year-old man was taken to Duke Hospital in Durham after he was shot in the chest around 6:30 p.m. at The Fuel Stop off Little Brier Creek Lane, according to Raleigh Police.

Police said a 35-year-old man who was also involved in the incident was taken to Rex Hospital for observation. Police said neither victim appeared to have life-threatening injuries.

Police said that the shooting was an isolated incident and that there was no danger to the public.

No suspects are being sought. No charges have currently been filed.
