CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) – The North Carolina Tar Heels are headed to the Final Four, and that means Carolina fans are restocking on T-shirts and more.
“I woke up this morning like, ‘Oh my god, we’re going to the Final Four!'” said UNC student Amanda Carew.
This year’s Final Four is in Houston, which has caused a huge dilemma for students who want to go.
“Probably have to skip a class or two,” said UNC student Parker Smith.
And UNC student Ann Archer Beasley has tickets and is trying to figure out how to make the trip.
“We’re trying to figure out those crucial details,” Beasley said. “We’re going to do whatever it takes. We’ll drive if we have to. We’re just excited to see them play.”
Other UNC students will stay in Chapel Hill – and hope that they will be on Franklin Street Monday night if the Tar Heels win.
“To be on Franklin Street and win a national championship — completely unreal,” said UNC student Lindsey Sparrow.
“On Franklin Street, if we win, that would be so awesome,” Carew said. “I’m so excited! This is better than Christmas and my birthday combined.”
