NC fugitive found hiding in his girlfriend’s closet; Pair of Deputy K-9s get credit, sheriff says

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office is thanking K-9s Dunic and Chico for helping them find one of their “Fugitive Friday” suspects.

25-year old Rashad Wade Shedrick of Washington, N.C. was found hiding in his girlfriend’s closet around 9 p.m. Friday, officials say.

Shedrick is currently in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $301,500 bond.

Shedrick was charged with DWI, driving while license revoked, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, sell cocaine, deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana (3 counts), sell marijuana (3 counts), and deliver marijuana (3 counts), according to the sheriff’s office.

“Fugitive Friday” is a program by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office to target wanted suspects every Friday.
