Wake deputies have man in custody after shooting in Zebulon

ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) – The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that started on Debnam Road Wednesday morning.

Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said three people came to 10237 Debnam Road looking for a Michael Jermaine Jackson. Two of the people went into the home, which belongs to Jackson’s mother.

Harrison said the woman called her son to come. When he arrived, he went inside the home and shot were fired.

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said all three of the individuals and Jackson fled the scene. Jackson was in custody late Wednesday afternoon.

Harrison said the mother did not see anything. He also said one of the individuals arrived at the Citgo gas station in Zebulon with a gunshot wound.

Jackson was charged with assault with a dead weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Jackson remains in jail on a $300,000 bond. His first court appearance is Thursday.
